Monte Romano, a small town in the Viterbo area, boasts the presence of a rich documentation that can be consulted in the Historical Archive housed in the Town Hall in a place annexed to the Civic Library. The documentary heritage preserved there includes a chronological span that goes approximately from 1850 to 1969, while the more ancient history of the town can be reconstructed by drawing on the documentation preserved in the State Archives of Rome, in the Palazzo della Sapienza headquarters (Corso Rinascimento, 40), in the Fund of the Hospital or Archihospital of S. Spirito.
